I didn’t care for the SA threats, especially since according to several reviews they appear to happen frequently throughout the book.

The cover, the back blurb, and all the quotes posted all over the covers promised an adventure and the actual story was far from an adventure.  Very vauge and non specific spoilers ahead.
Alosa is a prisoner for an overwhelming majority of this book. She becomes imprisoned on page six, is breifly freed for a page or two late in the book, becomes someone else's prisioner, and is transferred back into the custody of her first captors. She is not fully free until page 280.  There were some good action moments spotted throughout where Alosa was able to explore a bit but she spends most of the book in a cell.
I was disappointed in the lack of adventure. I kept reading because I found the romance interesting despite the fact that its pretty shallow.  I really wanted to enjoy this book but the plot was hard to forgive at times.
