I've read fanfiction on wattpad better then this book. I thought this was going to be a funny, enemies to lovers pirate romance, but instead I was just disgusted. This book tries to tackle issues surrounding consent, especially with the depiction of the sirens, but it falls flat and comes off as internalized misogyny at best. Honestly, do not waste your time with this book. There are better pirate romances out there. No shame to anyone that enjoyed this book though, it just was not for me.
