Ivy is adopted and takes a DNA test to learn about her medical history. She discovers more about her past than she expected to and sets off to learn her biological family’s secrets.
The story is told from multiple perspectives, in the past and the present. I thought this story was okay but I definitely didn’t love it (explanation in the spoiler section of this review).
There was way too much going on in this book. Medical issues, multiple serial killers, a cult, a kind of fake FBI agent out for revenge, family drama with both families.. it was too much. Instead of the story having twists, it just kept adding more and more. I lost interest as the book went on but I hate to not finish so I did. It’s well written and has a nice ending but there was too much going on for me to enjoy this book.
