Lighthearted, funny, and adventurous!

The first book of Douglas Adams's Hitchhiker's Guide just scratches my sci-fi itch every time. The characters and world (and beyond!) building is great. Chris Riddell's illustrations bring a bit of life to the characters that I really enjoy.

Perfect starter science fiction book (or re-read) for someone just wanting a fun, quick read.
