2nd book didn't disappoint!! Still on edge, making me wonder what will happen next!! The ending though?!? I can't wait to read the 3rd book.

I was really awaiting this book after Traitor and it picks right up where that left off. I enjoyed getting a lot more of the flashbacks from the guys of what happened in the past but I would have loved some of their mind sets in the present time rather than just Lennox's.
The heat factor was definitely amped up in the book which I loved. I was not shocked by what the guys went through coming out of solitary at the hotel but I actually thought it would be worse with the guards. I am still on pins and needles to know what Able went through because I think it is more in line with what my initial thoughts were on the guards.
I completely understand everyone's distrust of one another but see them trying to build bridges and I liked the progress Bishop made in this book. The twist at the end did not shock me because it is what I was expecting but it definitely makes me more suspicious than ever of Lennox's Aunt.
There are so many things to tie up in book 3 and I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see how everything plays out.

Thief is the second installment within the Loxley Prep series.
Just like the previous book, we are still following the same group of people: Abel, Wells, Bishop, Ronan, and Lennon. Of course, the drama is just as intense as well but so are the secrets. Hot damn, the secrets and holding certain information was driving me bonkers. Seriously, I just wanted to throttle Abel so many times.
So, yeah, Abel and Bishop were annoying for most of this book. I totally get why Bishop was acting like a fool but dang, it hurt to see Lennon hurt. I am glad, however, that she had Ronan and Wells because it was clear to everyone how they all felt about one another. It just sucks that they ended up betraying her.
The trust issues are intense and I'm just hoping that everything can be cleared in the next book. Mostly because I really want them all to have a happily ever after. They deserve it so much and then some. I would also like to see all the rat bastards who put them through so much torture, and everyone else at this hellish camp, to go down in flames. Whether they rot in jail until they die or if they just die.

Thief is the second book in the series and steadily picks up the story where it ends at Traitor. Just like the title suggests (and I'm now finally seeing the connection), you will pretty much get the gist of this book but still entertaining and left me guessing throughout the book. Lennon's relationship with the guys are still on the mend but it's progressing, mostly with Ronan, Wells and Bishop. With Abel though, it's like pulling teeth, LOL. I understand though. Abel's character, he feels and loves deeply, so Lennon's perceived betrayal crushed him. At this point of the story, I really wished that the guys were more forthcoming. Hopefully (and I think), this will change in the last book, Lover. I can't shake the bad feeling I have for her Aunt Darby though. I hope I'm wrong but I guess we shall see. The book ends in a cliffhanger and man, I didn't see that coming. I loved it and highly recommends for lovers of this genre!

Thief is book two and picks up right where book one left off. I loved the development in this one. Lennon’s bond grows stronger with Wells and Ronan but they still have a long way to go. Her connections with Bishop and Abel are a different story. There is still so much mistrust after all that’s happened. However, that thick delicious tension in the air leads to some unexpected sexual combustion and I was here for it. The mystery of the remaining secrets left me on edge in suspense. Hattie Jude does a great job at giving just enough to evilly tease you and leave you craving more. I mean what a cliff, I can’t wait for book three when all is revealed!

This is the second book in the Loxley Prep trilogy by Hattie Jude.
Book 2 starts off immediately following the end of book 1 in a continuation of events. Lennon has now fallen even deeper into the four boys world and is having to stay with them as the investigation for Cassie continues. And while her relationship with two of the boys has strengthened, the other boys are not ready to forgive or forget their past. Together, they have to figure out how to navigate this growing relationship and their feelings for each other.
I struggled with this book a bit more than the first one but was still interested to see where the rest of the story line would be going. I feel like Lennon was a bit more lenient during this book which made me more frustrated because I wouldn't let some of it slide. She was a bit more emotionally fragile during the fights then I would have expected from her character. I really started to like Wells and Ronan more but I still feel like it changed to an instant-love which isn't as much of my thing. I'd love to see Abel give in a little bit more to Lennon because I feel like he still hates her so much so it's hard to fall in love with him.
Throughout the story, we do see more flashbacks to what happened between the group of five at Camp and start to understand more why they all acted the way they did. There are still so many questions hanging out in limbo and I cannot wait for book three to find out what kind of crazy stuff her dad was up to, how Brewster is involved, and why her Aunt Darby is shady as heck!
There was a definite increase of spice in the second book which I was happy for but it started to feel like a plot device rather than natural. I believe that could definitely change when the other couple boys start to give in more. I'm hoping for even more group scenes in the last book!
The cliffhanger at the end ensures I'm going to be picking up the third book when it releases on June 9th. I do enjoy Jude's style of writing and will be checking out more of her stories in the future!

We’re slowly getting more and more pieces of the puzzle and I’m excited!!
I definitely felt like the relationships with the guys felt more realistic and less rushed than in book 1, and I can see a lot more growth still happening in book 3!
The book is basically in the fMC’s POV, but from time to time we get some flashbacks in the boys’ POV’s.
The ending is a slight cliffhanger (and a plottwist!) but book 3 releases soon so don’t worry ;) .
