Some things that gave me the ick;
- beards (though that one is probably my own fault lol)
- the unironic use of "daddy" and "momma"
- "I want to suck your toes"

The character growth was really well done and this was fun and very well written. Overall, just not my favourite.

Well that hit all the right spots ; )

It starts of kinda weird... but will unravel and rearrange itself into something special.

Jen is thoroughly under the thumb of her parents. Her brother is estranged, her father doesn't love her, and her mother doesn't see her. But she has found her own imaginative ways to spread her wings. Still she is suffocating and in a last ditch effort to express herself she manages to blackmail Cletus Winston. Cletus Winston, the diabolical manipulator whom she has a healthy respect of... from a distance. He is of course, also pretty hot.

He thinks he is going to teach her a thing or two, and he does, but somehow she manages to teach him just as much. He had no idea going in, how much he had underestimated her.

A very satisfying and safe read.
Spoiler There's not much violence. No details are given for Cletus's sexual history. i figure he's in his late 20s and Jen is 22. She (being so sheltered) is a virgin

The audio readers, Joy Nash and Chris Brinkly do a fabulous job!

It took me a few chapters to get into this book. I didn't really like it that much... until something clicked and I stayed up till 3 a.m. because I just had to finish the book. The characters were fully fleshed out and the story was unique, but still incorporating the normal romance tropes that we all know and love.

Really good book. Now I want to read the whole series.
