Weak worldbuilding. Could have used a bit more time in the beginning to flesh out the setting and the family members. Found myself having to constantly remind myself who people were even though I read it in pretty much one sitting. The main antagonist was barely there and died anticlimactically. Sebastian and Turren's relationship was fun to watch but the pacing of their development was a little fast.
The strongest point was the dialogue. Most of the characters had rapier wit, and had no compunctions about using it against each other. Sebastian VS. Lord Orwell was especially entertaining. However I found that while they spoke a lot the characters didn't really say much? A lot of words to snipe insults at each other but very rarely was anything of true substance said. Like watching a twitter thread where everyone's trying to one-up each other. Still, it was fun.
