Wtf
This book has left me literally speechless.
I really had hope for Stone to change. Like my heart is broken, I get why he did it, but lying to his best friend? Saying that she left him? I don’t know what to say.
There was a lot of times where I cringed and got secondhand embarrassment, especially at some of the smut scenes. The plot overall was actually really good though.
I just don’t think it deserves 5 stars, because of the secondhand embarrassment part.
But I do admit that this book is one of the few books that has left me genuinely speechless.
I also read this in one sitting.

omg
Wow R.E. bond does it again. How seamlessly she is to tie her other books in with this one. The is a reverse harem with MM sword crossing. This book has it all drama, love, violence. Be warned, this ends on giant cliffhanger. Be sure to read the trigger warning.

the reason why i usually stay away gang related books is bec they never feel real enough. these ppl are so not skilled at what they do. it’s astonishing they actually succeed and i never actually follow them doing it so it feels fake.
i know the burn series was before this but my god do i hate the devils and the psychos. they just seem blood hungry.
anyway i’ve thought of dnfing this book many times bec the plot the characters the romance and the world building all suck. penn is so… trusting? it hard to root for her. i like cruz and drake enough that i actually want those two be together as well. knox is into dubcon which is a nono for me. it always feels like rape to me. also he’s a dick to both penn and drake. hence why i want drake and cruz instead. stone lol how do you redeem a guy like that????
the story started of well. it’s when we get more ppl coming that it falls apart. the romance happens in a week a believe and they throw the l word around. wild!
i just wanted to finish a gang related rh. i wanted to see where author was taking this and to be honest im sick and staying home from work and needed to burn time.
will i cont??? probably i want to see how the author redeems stone. maybe i’ll finally see a really good groveling.

This book just isn't good. I'm starting to wonder if I read the same thing all the 5 star reviewers did. 🤔
The plot is fine, the world is very generic, the spice was something, and the characters are idiotic at best. (Though I think a much harsher synonym would be a better descriptor.) Their thoughts, actions and behaviors, all idiotic! I'll read the second half of the duet then add this author to my never to be read again list.
