The beginning part of the book was extremely interesting to read, but I thought the last 1/3 of it dragged and just went through the motions. There were some odd phrasing in the book--such as mentioning an email being sent out way before emails were in public use and some strange stories added in more for filler than content. I don't believe the strength of the book is the writing, but rather the facts.

The beginning was a bit slow. But necessary to make clear how Pixar came very close to not existing on multiple occasions. How many other companies have died in the cradle?

I have adored and worshiped Pixar from day one, and was fascinated to read about how the films were developed.

Fun to read about the Utah connections as well as the particulars re each film. Very detailed.

I enjoyed this a lot. I got to learn more about Pixar and how it got its start. Then it went into how it established itself and their thinking when coming up with movies. I love the technical stuff, the personal stuff and the occasional one-liners. This was definitely general public-friendly and I can rewatch those Pixar movie (up to 2008 at least) and see it in a different light. However, its not the lightest read and some information can get jumbled up and I would have to reread. But overall, enjoyed it; learned a lot. Happy about this book and all that I now know.

A fun history or Pixar. Even though I knew how things were going to end, I cheered every time they had a victory. It ends after the release of Cars, and I hope one day the author can do an updated version.
