Kudos to Penny for trying something new, but thrillers are not for me and not why I read these books.

Another great ride with Gamache. Though I always miss Three Pines when the story is not set there, the Paris location and the ability to get to know Armand’s son and Stephen in a fast moving story did not disappoint. But I was just as happy as they were in the last few pages when they returned and saw the glow of their cozy village.

Good way to start 2021. It seems Penny is back on track! Set in Paris, the story was a nice break from Three Pines and the predictable characters. Daniel had a nice story arc and overall I was left guessing until the end. I would love some fresh characters in this series.
