This story was so good from beginning to end. The love between Tyler and Garrett is so sweet from the first meeting to when they get together. There are great characters and a wonderful story that I just couldn't put down once I started reading it.

This was my read by Joelle Lynne. Learned about this book on Bookstagram and so glad I decided to read it. There is just something that I love about stepbrothers falling for each other. Really enjoyed Garrett & Tyler’s story. It took use through their forcing coming out story and I really felt for them as it was happening. If you are a fan of stepbrothers and gay for you, you must read this!

This book was a little like unexpectedly going off road. It was fun, but jarring and somewhat discombobulating with a strong dash of whiplash.
I get there's push pull between characters, but this legit was whiplash. I had no idea from scene to scene how the characters would behave. Which some people may like, but it kept me a little on edge.
The writing was often good, but then would seem to jumble up. I reread so many parts to make sure I understood what was happening. Also, I was sad the side characters had only minimal personality.
But bottom line, this is cute story that I enjoyed overall.

This book is very middle of the road. The writing was simple, repetitive and inconsistent. Half the time the boys would refer(in inner thoughts) to the parents as mom/Tyler’s dad. Other times it was just mom and dad. Same in the reverse. I’m not sure how many times I needed to be reminded that they had separate friend groups too. Or rather that Garrett had friends and Tyler had none.
I didn’t like how pushy Tyler was in the beginning. Enthusiastic consent, get it or you get nothing. Garrett was hot/cold too. Obviously all of this could’ve been solved with a conversation, but then what would we spend an extra 100 pages reading about?

Tyler and Garrett are stepbrothers and while both have secrets they kept from each other, things change between them when Tyler catches Garrett in a compromising position. But as they both struggle with the truth and family dynamics, they discover more about each other and fall hard. A good story!
This book got my attention because it’s a stepbrothers romance and I always love those, but as soon as I started reading I was so invested in the story and I did not want to put it down.

This book is based on two stepbrothers and a dual POV. We read their POV from ages 10, 15 and 19. Therefore the content in the story is age appropriate. Considering the majority of the intimacy and sex takes place when they are 19 they are quite sexy scenes. There is a lot of emotion in this story and a lot of feelings to process. I enjoyed the story; stepbrother stories tend to always have an element of angst and this did have some. It was a sweet tender story of two men who despite being bound by their parents' marriage they were made to feel shame because they shared deep feelings of love and soul. Definitely a story highlighting betrayal and trust. The epilogue was 2 years later and provided a great ending with a definite HFN but with a general feeling of forever. Trevor's story is next, he seemed like a sweetie, I'm looking forward to that.

Felt like the story didn't flow, needed some more detail. The emotion wasn't there and I found it unrealistic because of that.
