Great start to this series based on BatB. A lot of mysteries to be uncovered in this world, especially surrounding the terms and effects of curse that no one can talk about. Haven't learned too much about the Demon King yet either.

Loving the super badass FMC! Really interesting magical plant she's working with too, can't wait to learn more about that!

It was also unexpectedly hilarious, and I found myself cackling out loud. Hadriel and the other remaining humans in the castle are a hoot!! I love the hobby rooms

Just ok , fun spicy FINALLY AN FMC WITH A DAMN backbone who calls shit out like she sees it and doesn’t just melt cuz he’s hot . I haven’t read a lot of shifter  romance but I LOVED that she remained in control of her senses and her wants  not just what her shifter animal wanted . She fully rejected getting Stockholm syndrome and I’m here for it . Hadrian was hilarious but overall it was lackluster and fell flat for me .

Oh, Hadriel. I need a friend like him. This book took me awhile to get into. I struggled to get through the first few chapters but oh boy things evolved, quickly. I loved the way dialogue progressed the story. Definitely one of the better books I've read recently.

I've reached a point where I can't read plotless smut anymore. I need characters with more emotional range, substance & depth. The FMC was an cringey mix of pubescent eccentricity (ugh the internal performance monologuing) mixed with lusty, absurdly crass adult that just did not land for me. The blasé acceptance of the nightly sex demon scenario with all the servants in the castle? Not convinced the nightly trauma wouldn't leave people in a little more psychological upheaval.

I wanted to DNF this book multiple times, but when I was going to finally put it down there was only 1 more hour left in the audio book so stuck it out to the end. In all honestly, I begrudgingly finished it for my yearly book count; so 2 stars.

If I had known it was just erotica I would have skipped it, so for me this was a big disappointment

Great story

It'd a great story but didn't captivate Me as much as my favorite series. A little slow, but great nonetheless.
