So convoluted and a bit confusing at times? Also, the characters didn't feel real at all. Honestly, DNF'ed this book. There is 0% chance I would read others in the series.

I think this is the perfect retelling to hunt for when you’re craving something dark, snarky, and full of life. Our main character is so much fun to follow and hear her inner thoughts, I found myself laughing out loud MULTIPLE times. Our “Beast” lives up to his hype and gives us surely wounded man vibes the entire time. I enjoyed the shifter aspect and overall it was quick and enjoyable! I’d def recommend.

Random appearance of jeans and a tshirt (?!). That and modern slang somewhat detracts from the immersion for me.

What in the actual f*ck was this. There was no plot to be found. I got disgusted by the sex scenes in this book. Feels like reading straight up porn. Wanted to give it a shot, for the ‘plot’s’ sake, but I gave up when the dark alpha man suddenly became weak and let her into his feelings. Because he has some sort of sex animal in him that dominates his entire existence? I don’t get it. Please don’t waste your time in this
