I definitely shouldn’t have waited a whole year before reading issue 6. Or maybe I should’ve reread the first volume before tackling the next one. In any case I found this one to be a bit .. underwhelming, especially considering the way issue 5 ended.

The beginning of the second story arc of Paper Girls picks up with our beloved girl gang in the ~future~ (2016). They continue to be spunky and determined, and I wish I were tough enough to be friends with them. The art is still wonderful and perfectly suited for the comic, and I think this sets up a strong platform for the rest of the arc.

I have loved this serie, maybe because I enjoy sci-fi and time travel, the foreign language you have to interpret yourself to understand it (thanks for whoever translated the alphabet), the colourful 80s vibe and the general badassness of the girls!
