“And in that moment after dusk, before complete darkness fell, as her mouth released a language different to theirs, the girl became a stranger again, despite how closely she resembled all the soldiers in camp.”

informative sad tense

An extremely tragic and important read. The title of this book haunts the novel and draws attention to the stark comparisons of livelihood in a genocidal occupation. I will be reading this again to analyse further. This is something I would definitely recommend and reference in conversations on Palestine.

"It had been a long, hard day for everyone: August 9, 1949."

Is that it? That's the ending?
Reading this because all we have to do is FREE PALESTINE. Turns out this book is gripping me from inside and out. Part 1 of this book left me hooked, and the Part 2 left me stunned.

Hands down. This one is of the kind!
