i had a gut feeling that she wouldn’t make it but

honestly the ending broke my heart in all the right and horrible twisted ways.
leigh and callie are just so outstandingly written and so real, it honestly smacks you in the face.
this was a tragic, devastating and depraved story that i just could not stop reading. 
i’m on my way to buy all of her books because this was EVERYTHING

I read this after going through a couple of comparable mysteries by other authors. What I will say is that Karen Slaughters writing is so much more confident and experienced. I cried, I laughed, I rooted for our girls. I was glued. This was a WELL CRAFTED story.

This made me laugh. It made me angry. It was gut wrenchingly real and portrayed guilt and addiction in a way that left me speechless. Twisty turny, gruesome, and so so heartbreaking, this book gets a solid 5 from me.
