I read this after going through a couple of comparable mysteries by other authors. What I will say is that Karen Slaughters writing is so much more confident and experienced. I cried, I laughed, I rooted for our girls. I was glued. This was a WELL CRAFTED story.

This made me laugh. It made me angry. It was gut wrenchingly real and portrayed guilt and addiction in a way that left me speechless. Twisty turny, gruesome, and so so heartbreaking, this book gets a solid 5 from me.

Ooof. This was rough. I struggled to get through it but it was such a good story. I greatly appreciate the relevance of the happenings of today, too. This was my first Karin Slaughter but it definitely won’t be my last.

This was my first Karin slaughter book and it was good, but sooooo so dark. Her writing was undeniably incredible but the content was too graphic and dark for me. It’s making me think twice before reading more of her books
