Cute but not necessary.
I’m not sure that I needed to read this book. It didn’t add much to the series. There wasn’t much of a story to it and the fights between Jenny and Saxon were stupid. But it was cute and a quick read, kind of like a long epilogue.

i loved revisiting saxon and jenny in this novella and i think this story really helped develop their relationship. one of the things that bothered me about their initial relationship was how overprotective saxon was, and how much he used that protectiveness to keep jenny ignorant under the guise of her own safety. i loved that he recognised that in this book, and that he stopped telling her what and how to feel, and that he gave her the space to express her emotions without shutting her down. i also loved that jenny got to show him that she wasn't this fragile, breakable princess and that she got to push back against him. this book was great. i love them.
