Clique Bait is Mean Girls on steroids & I loved it! I grew up devouring Gossip Girl & Sweet Valley High, so this was a very welcome return to teen drama (now with social media to make things 10x worse). The girls are awful, the boys aren’t much better and it sucked me in a for single reading session. A well written story that makes me eternally thankful that I never have to set foot in a high school again!

for a wattpad debut novel, this was actually pretty good. I feel like, with a better developed romance and more character development, this could easily be a 3 star read.

I hardly write reviews. But for this book I felt that I would be betraying if I don't write the review of this book.( I should say the thing I hate mostly in my life is Betrayal) When I first started to read the book, I didn't think that I would like this book so much. For me reading books are like a escape and that's why I choose rom-coms as they aren't real, they are just fictional. But this is a book that is different from all the rom-com books I have read so far. Most of the rom-coms are predictable like you can predict what is gonna happen next, you can tell the fights, reconciliation if you have read enough rom-coms. But it is such a rom-com book which was supposed to be a cliché love story but it isn't. The story is so unpredictable you can't even predict what will happen the next second. When I was reading the book, everytime I thought that the story will take this turn but then boom!!! I was completely let down by the author. Though it's not that I didn't like it. I should say I loved it. It's now even one of my favourite book. Though I should say I was totally unprepared for what happened with Monica. I simply thought Monica was overseas or something for a LONG time. But it wasn't like that. Again I was let down by the author.(I am trying to keep this review out of any spoilers)

I read this in one sitting (yes, without getting up even once). I had only planned to read half of it and then go to sleep, but I was so invested, I ended up reading until 4 am.
I love the play on words in the title and how the chapters were divided into their 8 respective stages of revenge. If you like Gossip Girl, the fake dating troupe and revenge, you should definitely check this book out.
Some scene were a little to short for my liking and we never get to learn in depth about the minor characters. Even the main characters are still a bit of a mystery. I would have liked to learn a bit more about WIll’s home life as well as Chloe. After all the things we hear about her father, we never actually meet him.
As far as the revenge goes, it was executed perfectly but the motive was bland.
I heard that the Wattpad ending differs from the physical book’s ending so I 100% plan on reading that one as well.

Monica’s own choices led her death. She wanted to join the level ones, she ditched Chloe to do so, she was reckless in pretty much all her choices. Sure, Lola should have obeyed her mom’s “no pool” rule, but no one forced Monica to jump. Tragically sad, yes. But not Level One’s complete fault.I heard that the Wattpad ending differs from the physical book’s ending so I 100% plan on reading that one as well.
