This was a pretty standard and typical "take down the popular crowd" novel without very many surprises or a different take. It was okay, but I had a hard time connecting to Chloe. She didn't really feel real at any point during the telling of her story, even at the points when she was not supposed to be pretending. I did like that we were kept in suspense about what happened to Monica, although even that felt a little drawn out.

This was pretty much a guilty pleasure read. The book got better after the beginning section of the story, though.

I feel like this books didn't give me any extra reactions. Yes, I do sometimes gasps and jaw dropped when reading shocking parts but never to the extent where most of the shocking things in this book will I remember until I read another book. I also feel like this book is dry a little bit. I don't know. That's what I feel.
I think the whole Monica trying to conquer "the school heiracy" thing is very similar to what Level One group do. Manipulating, bullying, slut shaming, do impulsive things etc. Even if Monica successful conquer the school clique system and the Level One group got destroyed, she still will do what the Level One did. Same goes to Chloe and Jack. They somehow thought that by manipulating and planning to destroy the Level One and its heiracy system is for Monica and for the school clique system, but it's not. What they did were similar to what the Level One did to the levels below them.

The ending was very sweet and I like that Chloe excluded Will's family bribery.
And I also getting YouTubers' YouTube apologies when Chloe mentioned that Maddy told her stories abt the rumors on YouTube and somehow trying to persuade this and that lol.
I also like the letter entry for each chapter. It's very heartwarming.
To add, the author did an awesome job writing a book that makes me hate yet feel sad and pity the Level One group.
