A fantastic (somewhat) hard science-fiction story, yet not for the faint of heart. Didn’t realize this was a trilogy until I watched the Netflix series and immediately knew the books had to be amazing. I wasn’t disappointed and can’t wait to pick up book 2.

I really wanted to love this with all the hype behind it! I think I was lost 50% of the time and had to go back and relisten a lot but I have read quite a few books in this genre/plot and I felt like this one just didn't tick my boxes. Ready to move on!

I entirely enjoyed the experience of "The Three-Body Problem". It is all parts fascinating, weird, and thought provoking.
As a western reader, I have found it rather enjoyable to read works from other cultures around the globe, and to see what their take on difference genres are. I was intrigued by "The Three-Body Problem" setting, a modern sci-fi world born from the Cultural Revolution of the People's Republic of China with far-out concepts of alien live and what a realistic First Contact situation would be like in our modern society.
At times, the concepts were a bit above my head as a reader, such as dealing with the complications of Astro Radiotelegraphy and the subtle nuances of Theoretical Quantum Physics, but I felt they were explained in a way that the reader could understand it enough to move along with the plot.
Overall, I enjoyed "The Three-Body Problem" and look forward to continuing the series after a brief dip into other genres.
