Very enjoyable easy read. Really liked the lore of the dusk walkers and demons it adds an extra element that makes the world building a lot more believable. I also really enjoy the MC her reasoning and feelings make a lot of sense and she feels like a real person in what is a very fantastical setting. Orpheus’s character and their relationship is also just genuinely sweet for the most part which makes it easy to root for them. I found the ending felt a bit rushed but other than that I enjoyed it

The MMC is adorable and wonderful. The pace of the book was so slow it started to drag until the last five chapters or so. I will not be continuing the series because I am not a tentacle fan and the slow pace.

This was fun! Kinda read like fanfiction, but it has a fun lil plot and lots of purple peen action if you’re into that

Not bad for a monster romance

DID NOT FINISH

No joke I couldn’t bring myself to read it because of the cringy ass dedication. I love a monster romance, but please don’t talk to me like that lol.

Romance meets folk horror meets cottagecore - yes to all of those! A Soul to Keep hit precisely the spot that I needed it to and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series (maybe when the outside is also a little dark and gloomy). My only gripe with it is that there were a few examples of contemporary speak or elements that did not make sense in the world of the book that took me out of immersion, eg mentions of Stockholm Syndrome in a world that doesn't seem to have Sweden or Stockholm. Otherwise, it's a 5-star read for me.
