I loved the way the characters met AND the other way the characters “met” without knowing it was them! I absolutely love the anonymous messaging! It’s so fun and sexy. I adored that parts I much! It had me giddy with excitement.
Parker and Donovan (Mr. Brody) have the forbidden romance aspects I love-age gap and professor/student. Yummy!
I also love that Donovan is coming out of a very long term marriage/relationship and finally getting to explore the feelings and attraction he’s always had for men. Not exactly a bi-awakening, but it is his first exploration.
Parker is a bit edgy while still being a great guy who is so easy to love. Parker volunteering at a LGBTQ+ organization for kids was another huge selling point for him. He’s so swoony and amazing!
The chemistry is amazing! The emotional aspect is pitch perfect.
I love so many things about their relationship! Their interactions with Anne, Donovan’s daughter being one of my favorite parts. Sigh.. swoon.. all the sweetness and cuteness! I adore them all.
They both are really lovable and admirable characters. They made me feel hopeful and happy.
I adore both characters and together they are magic!
I completely enjoyed this story and the characters evolution, the writing is refreshing and flows beautifully.
My friend had told me I HAD to read this author and she was right! I’ve found a new favorite!
I highly recommend this wonderful story!

First of all, I absolutely love the setting of the "For Him" series. And I love, even though the books have all a common ground, that each of them covers different kind of struggles.

Secondly, I absolutely adore A.M. Johnson's captivating writing style, the way she creates her characters and the way she lets the story unfold.

Dear Mr. Brody is another perfect example of her skill set. Parker and Donovan are perfect for each other and their chemistry is palpable on every page. I love how self-assured Parker is, specially for his age and I love how unsure Donovan is, despite his age. How Donovan starts to discover this other part of himself that he never dared to do until now. And how Parker tries to guide him along his path.

I think these characters have great character development, specially Donovan. But also Parker growth along the story.

However, somehow this story didn't quite grip my heart as other books by A.M. Johnson. I can't really pinpoint what it is.

If you love the For Him setting as much as I do, I'm sure you'll adore this book as much as I do.

This couple is everything.

Dear Mr. Brody by AM Johnson is the story of Van Brody, a part time professor, and Parker Mills, one of his students. Johnson coupled one of my favorite tropes (teacher/student) and one of my major hot buttons ($exting) to create a wonderfully romantic and $exy as he!! book that I won't easily forget! Not to mention this series captured me from the beginning. I'd heard so much about Love Always, Wild, and when I decided to read it, I hadn't realized it was the first in a series where each book has been as good or better, than the last. I highly recommend this series and this book! Steam and love, a bit of humor and angst in an extremely well-written novel. It begs to be read!

I couldn’t get over just how sweet Parker and Mr Brody were. The chemistry was great. And the side characters for funny and interesting.

This was good! I liked both characters and I liked how they met and interacted. I appreciated how they worked through their conflict at the end rather than being dumb about it. Both narrators were absolutely lovely.

These 2 are so beautiful together and love how Park just seamlessly fits in with Anne such a beautiful story to read. They show us just because you've been knocked down in the past doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying.
And thank you for introducing us to the firecracker that is Marcos! Cannot wait to read his story should be full of snark!
