Started off way stronger than the first book. I honestly thought it was gonna be a 5-star read.

But halfway through, it started to lose me. A certain plot twist felt super obvious, and when it turned out to be something else entirely… it somehow made things worse. The ending just didn’t hit the way it wanted to.

The characters? Amazing. Their dynamics carried the whole thing. But the plot kept acting like the stakes were sky-high, and I just wasn’t feeling the tension.

Also, way more spice this time. Not unwelcome, but felt kinda tacked on.

Solid 3 stars. Wish it stuck the landing.
