After accidentally reading this book before Let Me Love You, I was very confused when it started. That being said, I loved Mia and Henry together. Despite thinking he was a complete asshole, Henry was very protective and showed up for Mia even when she didn't want him to. History had shown her that she shouldn't or couldn't rely on anyone else and that is a difficult lesson to overcome. With her abusive ex ruining her job prospects in her chosen career, she doesn't let it ruin her or get her down.
Mia’s life has been full of struggle. Her drug addict father was murdered in a highly publicized case and then she finds herself in an abusive relationship, furthering her belief that you can never trust anyone but yourself. Henry’s friendship with one of the men who murdered Mia’s dad left him questioning himself. While he feels protective over her, he also cannot deny the chemistry that sizzles between them. With her ex determined to screw up her future, Henry hires Mia to bring some positive press to the hockey team he has started. Living in the same building, working together and hooking up after hours, Henry quickly realizes that he’s in it for the long haul with Mia. He just needs to convince her that he’s worth the risk.

Final book in the series. I liked it as much as the others. Im not a huge fan of the "brat" archetype but it was easy to overlook it.
My favorite part was when Shorty final got what was coming to him. He was a real pos.

This book was immaculate. The crumbs of Henry and Mia that we had before this book had me so excited, and my expectations were blown out of the water.
Henry is an incredible book boyfriend and not at all the asshole that Mia tries to convince herself he is. The man literally wiped all evidence of her OF from the internet on page 17. He's the epitome of boy obsessed. And I loved his patience and how he was there to help Mia heal from her trauma by simply just being by her side. And I love that while he was protective, it was never stifling or in place of Mia standing up for herself. He lets her make her own choices and stands by her side as she does.
But on that protective note...that last game...him telling Theo and Colt that they could and should beat the hell out of Shorty. That was one of the hottest things a book boyfriend has ever done. And I love that the team all got on board to get revenge on the abusive asshole.
The entire book was wholly incredible. The steamy scenes were fantastic. The chemistry was off the charts, and the found family was giving all the feels. It was a perfect end to the series, and I'm so happy everyone got their happily ever afters.
I can't wait for the next-gen series to start!
