I'm sure an actual academic who likes Freudian litcrit (in this day and age??? I guess people still do) would be far more the audience for this than I. Strangely, this 2012 collection could have done with more poetry from these eleven women poets, and I was struck by how almost each of these poets was very much in a 20th century tradition, even if still working in the 21st. Sorry, Claudia, but it was a slog. I will say that it introduced me to Kimiko Hanh, for which I'm very grateful!
