I enjoyed it enough I wanted to read the next book right away. I get why it’s described as part Schitt’s Creek, but that doesn’t feel like quite the right description to me.

I think this series is going to be really good the further you get into it. I think this first book was the perfect introductory book for the series. I liked the book but I know it won’t be my favorite. Now what I can appreciate with this book compared to some cowboy romances is it felt realistic but not stereotypical. There are some cowboy romances that mostly call out the way cowboys talk and it’s annoying how the accents are so overdramatized, but this book it felt more authentic. I only say this because I live in a small town in Texas and see cowboys, bull riders, and ranchers everyday and they aren’t all like these book make them out to see. I do think the couple moved very fast since the actually romance didn’t really start occurring until the second half of the book and the idea of them being ready for children right away actually terrified me a bit. But it was a decent read, but I do think they will get better and even what happened at the end of the book with Wyatt already has me excited to continue.

I really enjoyed the book until the characters actually got together.  There was a lot of tension and bickering and I really enjoyed reading that part of it but once they got together all that was written was sex.  

The relationship started out with an emotional attraction, but after it seemed like it was just physical. I wish there was more scenes like the dancing at the bar the second half of the book.  When the second half of the book came in to play everything just worked out perfectly and they just kept going at it and it was just not really that entertaining.
