Vampire Reverse Harem

It had an interesting start. Ash is a vampire hunter. Its the only life she has known because she was raised by Guild. They send her on a mission that seemed doomed to fail and she ended up becoming what she hunted. A few things seemed off to me. For someone who grew up as a bada** hunter she sure pouted a bunch. Also she had this "super secret" power that she told to a vampire the first day. I liked the ending and it makes me want to read more.

Ashryn Barker is a vampire hunter with an ability to see someone’s deepest secret. However after a failed mission, everything changes for Ashryn as she meets Dimitri and the rest of the vampires - Remus, Bram and Eric.
The ending is definitely a great cliffhanger, setting you up for the second book - Broken Illusions.
Ashryn’s internal monologue makes for a fantastic read and I highly recommend this paranormal reverse harem series.

Ashryn is a vampire hunter. She's been raised to hunt vampires, and she is one of the best. However, when she is sent on a mission by herself to a nest of ten vampires things start to get complicated. But Ashryn is good at denial, and she tries to live in that as long as she can. However, it may be too late by the time she figures out the truth.

This book was interesting. I liked how tough the heroine was, but I also hated her thought process, and the way she constantly tried to deny things. It was annoying. Other than that, I felt this one was a interesting start to the series, and I look forward to reading more, especially after that cliffhanger ending.

This is a great, exciting start to a new series. It grabbed my attention right away and didn't let go all the way through to the nail biting end. I love the whole concept and what we've seen of strong, snarky Ashryn so far - though I do wish she'd pout a little less. I'm really looking forward to the series!

A very quick read introducing us to Ashryn. Life for her has just dramatically changed. What she has learnt all her life comes into question, will be interesting to see where it takes her. I have actually read this book before, but couldn’t remember it all, have bought the next in the series so thought I should reread this to bring me up to speed, now know why I bought the second book eager to start it
