It’s been a LOOOOOOONG wait for this book, because I’m a HUGE fan of Kora Knight. I think her “Upending Tad” series is one of the sexiest MM erotica series ever written, and her Nira Chronicles books convinced me to read alien fantasy when I had zero interest in it (which contains again one of the sexiest orgy scenes ever written!) And considering I’m not a huge fan of BDSM, but I still loved Max & Sean’s stories in the Dungeon Black duology, this book was hugely anticipated (while I breathlessly wait for the follow up to “Zercy”!!)
So!! This is Breck & Kai’s story, who are friends of MCs in the Upending Tad & Dungeon Black books. Kai is cool-as-a-cucumber, meditative, controlled & sensual, and specialises in martial arts & shibari (sensual rope bondage). Breck is a bi-denying, college basketball star who has an image to uphold that doesn’t allow him to submit to his attraction to Kai. This is super slow-burn, and months go by between interactions between them, but it’s written well to ratchet up the tension. By the time we get to a demonstration of shibari on Breck, the scene is crazy-sensual & breath-takingly sexy. Breck & Kai are FIRE together.
My only negative or fear - it ended abruptly & I really hope we won’t have a long wait until the conclusion of this duology is released!

Disappointed. The Upending Tad series and The Dungeon Black Duology are both amazing works, this series was lacking for me
