Reread: I listened on audio. I love Morrigan and can’t wait to read the next book.

SO GOOD!! even better than the first one. i absolutely love the friendship between morrigan, hawthorne and cadence (she might also be my new favorite character). i really hope there will be more books in this series!

I love that Morrigan is starting to learn about her powers and how to use them; it is unfortunate that the school is not her resource for learning this information.

Looking forward to reading the third book in the series and the fourth book set to be released late 2024 or early 2025.

DNF

I enjoyed the beginning, especially with the angels. But once they were in school it was just too young for me.
But I think it’s fantastic for middle graders.

Townsend’s writing continues to be as creative as ever. It had been a thrill to explore the world that she has envisioned. The story was not perhaps as structured as the first entry. However, I am intrigued as to how Morrigan’s fate will pan out in future instalments.
