It's like reading the original again, except there are constant references to it.

Provides interesting statistics and says the same thing any other finance book says: budget, penny pinch, invest, and you’ll be rich when you’re old.

DID NOT FINISH: 11%

I couldn’t handle the presumption that race plays no role in the opportunity or lack thereof that a person in the U.S. may have to carry out these ideas. Even the studies cited don’t take race into account. This suggests a lack of understanding that throws the rest of the material into question.

Awful. Struggled finishing this, gosh. This is straight a plug-in for the first book (that I haven't read yet). Nothing new to learn. Duh, obviously save more, spend less on what you can, living below your means (frugal mindset). But don't really show how to build wealth. What about overcoming living in poverty? Impact due to inflation or cost of living? This assumes people have some money already and have privilege. It urges people to just work hard, persevere, have self discipline, and be a good person- assuming the reader does not do this and judging people are stupid with concepts on approaching and handling money (of course there are people like this but it is a slap in the face to others who do have some financial literacy). Classic boomer Caucasian ideologies, dare I say it. There was a quote somewhere early on saying that you can just 'choose'  to become wealthy through mindset because America gives the choice, or something like that.. Out of date with this current economy . Please. This is the idea of the American dream if this was the 70 years ago.

Some interesting parts and snippets but I didn't highlight as much as I expected... Good that the author updated it to make it more relevant today... But isn't a must read in itself.

I was expecting/ hoping for an updated version of the amazing book that is the ones prequel. But I was pretty disappointed

Apparently there is a 2010 update to the original book, which is not the same as this separate book. I should have read the 2010 version instead of the original and this one.
