04/02/24 dnf @ 22. I really the premise of this book, but...... the few pages I read bored me and I'm not hopeful that it'll get better. Who knows- it could be really good! Or really bad. I honestly don't care enough to find out.

A book on loneliness (as a direct result of some misfortunes)! I love it, misfortunes push Benna to reconfigure her inner and outer lives (and in turn, has invited me as well) with a statement "life is sad, here is someone." Was hard to get through the middle part as one gets confused with what is real vs imagined BUT so worth the read.

I had to research this book a bit right after starting it because I was so confused! After I got the hang of the narrative and writing style though, it was a really good read.

I found this novel difficult to follow - what is real and what is not? Also I found the relational interactions annoying predictable - there was so much space for newness yet it all seemed so banal.

4.5. Loved this one for the writing. It's crazy good. The concept was confusing but once I got it everything started clicking. There's a moment at the end that was stunning and still leaves me thinking: how did I believe that?
