I was okay - I honestly got a bit bored. I didn't really like the main character and I am an uptight oldest sister, but she was just too much for me. Like, get a grip and get your own life.

Could not wait for this fatphobic book to be over
I don’t like to DNF books but was ready to DNF this one on Page 7 when the main character had already mentioned the weight of 2 people close to her. I wish I had as the story never got any better and the fatphobia just continued throughout the book. The entire story is based on a bunch of misunderstandings that ended up not even making sense anyway.

Heart-wrenching love story
I typically steer clear of books that continue to alternate between the past and the present, preferring a more linear timeline of events. But this story had me riveted! I instantly felt connected to the complex characters and couldn't wait to see how their stories would unfold. I'm so glad I kept reading! The payoff was more than worth it. I don't know if I've ever wanted two characters to find each other as much as I did for Alice & Andy. If you love a bit of romance, complex main characters, and excellent writing, give this a read. You won't regret it!!
