A disappointing follow up to one of my favourite books - The Silent Patient.

Lots of loose ends, a weird storyline and character arc / climax that mostly went nowhere. Background that really wasnât even relevant. Her husbandâs weird death history? The links to Persephone that seemed so huge to the story? A random non-relationship with a younger guy who was overly confident for no reason????(âIâm going to marry you one day!â)(and that also went nowhere!!!)
Felt like it tried too hard to have a âwild twistâ, but really just fell short. It lacked the character building and development that would otherwise make me care about the characters, or even be surprised when a character is a surprise suspect in the end.
Honestly, all over the place. I expected so much more đ˘
