I couldn’t predict the ending so 2 stars for that and that only. The rest of the book left me with questions I shouldn’t be asking from a 300 page book. There was plenty of space to make the writing seem better than it was. The author wasted time on things that didn’t matter. It felt kind of dragged. Was The Silent Patient beginner’s luck? Good twist. Definitely got my jaw dropping, yet again. I wish he wrote about THAT a bit more, took his time with building the characters maybe? I can’t pinpoint exactly what I didn’t like, I just know there was room for improvement.
