My adult daughter (aged 25) wanted to read this again, having remembered it from her elementary school days. So we agreed to do this via Voxer, a messaging app. Each of us read a chapter at a time. She's an excellent narrator and this made the experience even more enjoyable. It was wonderful to hear of Milo's adventures with Tock and Humbug. Great ending, too. It had been since my own elementary school days that I'd read it, so it was quite a pleasure to heart the story again. This is a good one for adults to read to their children. It's like Sesame Street - great lessons for kids and great humor for the adults.

Listened to this one as part of my quest to read a classic per month. This is such a fun story! I loved the play on words (and numbers) and the focus on curiosity versus succumbing to boredom. I also very much want a dog named Tock, now.
I listed to the audio done by Rainn Wilson, but I think I would have also enjoyed reading a physical copy so I could visualize all the wordplay.

Amazing book. A favorite of mine since age twelve, (now am twenty-five), and I always find something new upon reading it again. It is also the first book my eleven-year-old sister ever enjoyed. You will read it many times.
