A classic, and a good one at that. It tells about the story of Sherry, who once lived next to the author's home, and died. It's about her own "secret garden", and the mysteries that abound in there. It's a dark, haunting, creepy book--and it's really good. Not too popular, and underrated, so you probably haven't heard of this, but it's truly worth reading.
Oh, and P.S. I've loved the name "Sherry" ever since :D

This was another favorite of mine as a kid, and I remember checking it out from the school library on more than one occasion. I don't remember much of what it was about, and I would love to revisit this as an adult.

I found this through a search of goodreads juvenile titles about ghosts, probably more specific than that. Alas, I re-learned that I have read the best ones long since. I mean, this was fine: both ghost and non-ghost possibilities, big old houses, climbing trees, next-door friends and spinsters. But I am too old, I suppose, as with Wait Till Helen Comes.
