Overall, a fun ride and a good filler for what happens between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. I think I agree with a lot of people here that it feels very episodic (I personally feel it would  be a great plot for like a limited animated series run) with no real central character arc to follow (Leia and Poe come close, but they're still kind of lost in the overall plot). And I would say this is a weakness of the book overall. But all that aside, I had fun while reading it. Exploring how Poe moves back into the Resistance after messing up in The Last Jedi was interesting, and showing his guilt and dedication to moving beyond his mistakes and doing better was a good move. I also liked the emphasis on just doing and being better as an active choice that they were making as they rebuild the resistance and hope for the galaxy. Plus, it's got multiple heist-y plots with ruses galore and that's fun to read. And this heist/prison break/robbery plot that spans multiple planets takes up the last half of the book.

A real selling point of this book is that it has finally gotten me to care about Wedge Antilles, my new space dad whom I love and care for very much. In fact, this book brings a lot of side characters and children of side characters from other pieces of media and that's very exciting. It does give kind of an Avengers Assemble vibe to the read.
