(I saw someone else inserted a gif and I found it absolutely great and funny!)

I have become a tremendous fan of Agatha Christie and especially of her character Miss Marple, which I was introduced to through the 1960s movie adaptations. I have to admit that I was expecting something else from this book, though I still liked the complexity of the story. What struck me the most was that Miss Marple herself has such a litte, but significant role in this book. Though in the end, it is obviously her, who puts all the peaces together.

My favourite character was indeed Pat, the rest of the Fortescue family was rather unpleasant, which is one downside of this story, I find. Nevertheless, I rated it with 4 stars as it was entertaining and - as it is always the case with Christie - inscrutable until the end.

Again, I listened to the BBC 4 radio dramatization of this. Because I'm secretly a 75 year old British woman. Love them for car drives because they are short and engaging.
