Great sequel to [b:The Strangeworlds Travel Agency|46123742|The Strangeworlds Travel Agency (Strangeworlds Travel Agency #1)|L.D. Lapinski|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1579194289l/46123742._SY75_.jpg|71048880]. Loved the sea setting with all the pirates and sea creatures. Generally, the destruction of the Break works very well as an allegory for the destruction of our own planet and I loved seeing these themes of environmentalism interwoven into the narrative. Avery is a great addition to the cast; it was enjoyable to watch Flick work out what she thought of her and finally come to a super sweet conclusion. It was also sweet to see how Flick handled Jonathon grappling with his grief. And then that reveal about Flick's heritage at the end: nicely done! and I'm looking forward to the role this will play in future books.

Flikk må finne ut hvorfor sjørøververden blir mindre og mindre. Oppdager nye sider ved seg selv og magien.

Another very delightful and fun middle grade adventure from L.D Lapinski! Have the same feeling of wanting to continue on with the next on right away but don't think my library had that yet (if it's out)

Both Juliet and I enjoyed this more than the first. The world of The Break was fascinating and it was fun to learn more about Flick's magic. However, I still don't love the age gap between Flick & Jonathan - especially in light of some of their interactions/arguments in this volume. I really enjoyed the addition of Avery and Juliet is excited to get to Book #3 as soon as it comes out!

Loving this series sooo much!
It is definitely a metaphor for Climate Change in this also.
The characters are so well written, Avery was a lot of fun in this one and Flick is so honest I love it.
I like how this ends with some explanation of how Flick has her abilities.
I nearly had a very late night reading this it is just so addictive!
