It's an intense thriller that handles discussions of eugenics, class, and systemic racism brilliantly. The entire time I read this book I could feel a pit of dread in my stomach and I could not put this book down because I just wanted to see Chiamaka and Devon get out and be okay.

This book is even more thrilling than Gossip Girl, especially as you reach part 3. The writing style was simple, making it an easy and accessible book (and an even better book to listen to in audio format).

It was pretty intense. I feel like chiamaka beeing bi was a bit glanced over meanwhile Devons story centers around him beeing gay. Make it fifty-fifty at least.
