This is a fantastic concept that sees a new evolution of the Sith order and a galaxy still recovering from the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. Luke's great-grandson Cade is a broken Jedi turned bounty hunter who has a lot of inner demons to battle. He's trying to be a callous and uncaring pirate, but destiny keeps getting in the way. He is full of hate and anger, but also the compulsion to do the right thing. This makes for some interesting situations with his piratical band, particularly with his friend Syn, who hates Jedi. This series also introduces Darth Talon as one of the more memorable and recognisable Sith characters.
I think the characters created for this series are so well developed, giving this period of Star Wars a very unique feel. I also like how the galaxy is run by an Empire again, but one very different from the last one.
The artwork is first rate, and clearly depicts the characters and action.

I actually liked this better than Knights of the Old Republic; the story might be a bit more straightforward, but it's better exposited. The art is great too. Some really good characters here, that I've read about before so it's good to finally read them in context. Looking forward to seeing how this story arc pans out.

Re-read

Please note that this comic series is now part of Legends, and is no longer canon within the Star Wars expanded universe.

So pulpy. So good.

An enjoyable story in a time of the Star Wars universe that is fairly empty of data - so it isn't bogged down by much of the other things going on around it. Sure, there's some lead-up that I'm missing, but my awareness of said events is good enough to get me through so far.

It's a decent action story, though I didn't find it all that compelling. Angsty jedi prodigy runs away after his father is killed, but is reluctantly turned towards the right path by meeting a noble princess knight. The next book in the series might make things more interesting, but I am in no particular hurry to read it.

A very interesting take on the Star Wars universe. Luke's great great grandson is a closet Jedi/ bounty hunter. He has to figure out who he is and where his loyalties lie.

Good story. Great art.

Enter a galaxy far, far away 125 years after the evnts in Return of the Jedi. The Sith & what is left of the Imperial forces are making a come back. The first of the book shows a battle that the Jedi are losing badly.

Kol Skywalker and his son, Cade are amomg the Jedi that are being attacked. Kol and other masters will lose while Cade, Shado, Master Sazen & the younglings escape.

We later meet an older Cade who is now a bouny hunter.

This was definitely a fun ride I liked the pacing and the art style so much. I enjoyed the story that was told and seeing a descendent of Luke Skywalker. It was definitely good enough that I want to continue the series.
