AHH!!! ugh!!!!! This book made me so crazy!
I experienced all of the emotions... I changed my mind a few times along the way on what was going to actually happen. Just all of that chaos and drama and mentally ill women...... I felt bad for Jamie, Max, and even Brian. I wanted the truth to be revealed at the end because otherwise it would eat me up inside.

This is the first novel of @RobynHarding that I have had the pleasure of reading. First of all, I loved the twisted plot and characters, but it was difficult for me to keep the characters’ chapters and perspectives straight. If they would have been easier for me to follow, I would have rated this novel higher. I look forward to reading #TheParty, Robyn Harding’s other novel, to gain more perspective on her writing. I love suspenseful novels with drama infused, so I believe her other novel will be wonderful. So glad I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. #goodreads #giveaway @RobynHarding #TheSwap

3.5 rounded up
A lot of phrases were used over and over like “my best friend on the island,” “my only friend,” etc.
But original plot and a good twist!

3.5⭐️

Interesting premise with twists and unexpected characters.

The characters are toxic and dysfunctional. But what a fun and gripping read.

Sad to say, I honestly did not care or sympathize with any of the characters, except for baby Maggie. But Robyn Harding has a way of drawing you into the lives of these characters and you can’t help but want to find out what happens next.

Unlikable (and not in a good way), insane characters. It’s very soapy.
dark medium-paced

2.5 stars, will update my review with more information in the coming days.

I liked this book despite the fact that I loathed the vast majority of the characters. Seriously, the characters are cloying, completely lacking in self-control and self-awareness, and I wanted to smack them all with a shovel. The plot, however, moves swiftly and kept my interest. And, after engaging in "the swap," it is nice to see the characters all suffer the consequences of their stupidity.
