Well that was a really weird book, most of the time i had no idea what was going on, mostly because the characters i was following were completely in the dark about the true of their situation. I enjoyed the odd twisted names, trying to figure out what each Iremonger's name was meant to be was a bit of game for me. I also liked the way it was written in a kind of faux Victorian style book, along the lines of a Dickens. But boy did this story turn really dark really quickly towards the end, some of the secrets of the house and family were super creepy. And that ending was not what i expected or wanted at all. I will have to keep reading the series to find out what happens to the Iremonger's, their staff, and their birth objects.
