This is one of the more boring and stupid books I've read in a long time. I'm sure there's a better way for me to arrange that statement but this crap doesn't deserve the effort. I hate the skater girl and torn battered good boy who's a cheater nonsense. I hate all 18 of the Lewis Carroll references. Hate the plot hate the twist hated all of it. I was scan-reading pages from the beginning of the book because of all the irrelevance so I knew it was going to be bad, but I promised my niece I'd read it so I did. I have NO desire to read any more of this author's "work" and since this book pretty much ends on a wrapped up note- I don't have to. I can't imagine what long winded bullshit was the focus point of book two and three but........... If you like Alice in wonderland but want a different view read Colleen Oakes. Not this garbage.

This was a really magical book. The description of Wonderland was really good as well, I felt like I was there and could see everything and A.G Howard seriously has some imagination.
I liked that with this book it was a retelling of Alice in Wonderland but the elements of the story were know to the characters, they knew they were living the story. I just think that is such a good way to make a retelling different.
I though Alyssa was a good character but she could be childish sometimes and made some weird decisions. She still grew in the book and became a stronger person and fought her way out of wonderland.
Now, the Love Triangle, I LOVE IT!!! These are the love triangles that should be in books, not stupid pointless ones that are just plot devices. It worked in this book because I was routing for both guys and both would be perfect for Alyssa. It just crazy how it worked and was just so compelling in the book. I don't know where this is going to go but I'm excited.
Jeb was a great guy best friend and he cares for Alyssa so much, sometimes its a bit too much but it's nice that she has him. They really do have a great friendship that does develop into something more and I can't wait for book two to see even more.
Morpheus was dark and evil AND I LOVE HIM. He is twisted but there are so many sides to him and he will have to be explored in the next two books and really fleshed out and I'm so excited. He cares so deeply for Alyssa and like anything can hurt him with her and it's so great seeing his reactions to some things.
I just can't, I love them both and I don't want to choose.
Seriously a great book and I can't wait to read more.
I originally had this book as a 4 star read but it actually deserves a 5 because it's that awesome.

It was a great reality break. I was sucked in pretty quickly, and stayed in Wonderland for a day. I liked the twists on the classic, how it could possibly be tied to a person. Great concept.

DNF!! I've read this story a trillion times!!!! I've better things to do!

If I could give this 1/2 a star, I would. All the elements are here to make a fantastic re-telling of Alice in wonderland. Some excellent concepts that I found irresistible, including the beautiful cover!!!! Boy was I deceived. This was a mess. Alyssa, job, Morpheus all of them are just horrible characters, poorly developed and, egads, boring, boring, boring!!!! Too many descriptions of what they are wearing rather than spent storytelling. We get it, their artist types and goth. No need to overkill it with clothing and piercing descriptions. Me is one of the most dislikable love interests EVER! I don't need to go on here. Just save yourself the trouble. I'm so glad to have abandoned this one.

A beautifully crafted wonderland.
