This is the first oral-history format I have read, and I was expecting to love it but I totally did. I couldn’t imagine a better way to tell this story.

This book was just incredible! I couldn’t put it down. I didn’t think I’d like the interview style but I loved it! It’s such an interesting way to tell such a complex story!

I flew through this book in four days. I expected it to be just like Evelyn Hugo and it wasn’t. But it was Daisy Jones. It was exciting and intriguing and fun. It made me nostalgic for hard rock and the concerts my parents grew up and fell in love going to. It made me crave the best that live music brings in your chest. I was surprised that compared to Evelyn Hugo, Daisy was just like able enough for me to root for her, but I don’t at all disagree with her ending.
I never supported her and billy as a couple and although it was exciting and dynamic, I always saw it as infatuation and that Billy should be with his wife and children. The plot line of Karen’s abortion entirely changed my view of graham after liking him for most the book. Finding out that Julia, Billy’s daughter was the author adds such a layer to the story. Lastly, the note Camila leaves after her death was the best way to end it I think. I don’t like the idea of billy loving or being with another woman after losing his wife, but I like the idea of him and Daisy reconnecting, both finally sober.

Dream Big, Little Bird. Love, Daisy <3

The writing was good (as per usual with TJR) and the purpose was engaging, but imo it was an overall fairly boring story. I loved the ending though.
