This series is so unique and just keeps you reading! I could have done without some of the politics, but the character development and payoff were well worth it.

Liked this even more than book 1. When it started it seemed to jump right in. Didn't have a ton of recap so definitely need the background from reading the first book. Very action packed and some unexpected twists.

What were those last 100 pages. they were so amazing and deserved its own rating. i really enjoyed that this book was about the government, politics and strategies. that really help to build the world around the characters as well. The plot was very strong which i enjoyed and it helped for me to carry the story through. in some areas, the plot was slow which if fine but it certain areas the pace dragged on more that it needed to. The charters at times did annoy me about how they were feeling but never talking to the other charter about this and vise versa.

Sanderson writes in a way that feels so human and natural it is difficult to not feel it deeply. He also leaves you completely on your toes not certain what will happen next, but he leaves no plot holes in his wake. Beautiful book. And a fantastic feat of writing a sequel better than its predecessor. Only sad I waited so long to read it.
