A disturbing book that continues to be compelling. The impending doom of the story is clear from the start. It is short and concise but engaging. The story and writing is a bit unsettling but in the way that makes you want to keep reading.

What did I just read? I picked up this book from a Tiktok romance table at BAM based on the cover and figured it would be something similar to CoHo or other currently popular romance authors. It. Is. Not. This book is about the ultimate deceit. Although it was a quick read, it was a book that was intentionally secretive and really made me sick to my stomach. This is not what I would call erotica — even though there absolutely are sex scenes. I will not soon forget this book, even though I didn’t care for it much.
