like… it’s Percy Jackson so it’s great, but it’s probably not one of my favorites. once I got past the whole “he needs to complete quests to get college recommendation letters” bit, it was a good read. some of the modern references made me laugh.

Perfect dose of nostalgia and silly narration
This healed my inner child.
I’ve waited so long for this. I never thought I would get another OG PJO book.
So nostalgic, love the familiar hilarious writing, and how cute Annabeth and Percy are together.
I loved seeing bits of Percy’s day to day live between his quest. I never got to see much of that in the original series because everything seemed so high stakes, but this is just a more mellow, slice of life with adventure and I loved it. It was like a cozy adventure. With hints of feelings about growing up. It’s like my inner child growing up with the series. It’s strange to think Percy will be going to college soon. In my brain he’s always a 16 year old. But I guess even fictional characters grow up sometimes
