It's nice to see how Claremont leads the X-men from quite infantile towards more and more mature.

Took forever to finish this. Only so many times I can hear about Jean and Cyclops's psychic rapport.
This was a good comic. I felt it was a little cliched or cheesy but this is the oldest comic I've read so this is probably when those cliches were coming in to place. It is also a superhero comic, so I was expecting it to be a little cheesy. My favorite issues were the ones focused on kitty pyrde. She was in the rogue and gambit(2018) run I read, and it was interesting to see kitty's start. If anyone has some good kitty pyrde recomendations, let me know!
I understand that the Claremont run is foundational to the Xmen as a whole, and is why they ever became popular, and when it's good it's amazing, but when it's bad it is such an absolute drag. the way characters constantly say exactly how they feel, and reiterate what is happening, exactly when it is happening, even tho you can SEE what's happening because, ya know, art. it is just so infuriating sometimes. anyway, I'm only going to read through till Days of Future Past. then I'm going straight to New X men. God... I can't wait for panels with NO words lol.

Glad I read this for a book club in which every other person I sat with basically told me why I should love this book and how important it is, culturally and contextually, to Marvel and Judaism. I thought it was kind of boring at times -- it's very dated, especially with its exposition dumps -- but I'm happy to have read it!!! My first X-Men comic, actually.
